Solid butternut wood bud vase  - a test tube allows this bud vase to be used with fresh flowers. Finished with mineral oil and bees wax.  
 
Butternut is also referred to as white walnut and is softer and lighter in color than walnut.  This particular butternut wood has some rustic qualities to it which is an interesting contrast to the angled facets.
